Who we are

Domain Attraction is a web design business based in Royton, Oldham. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at hello@domain-attraction.co.uk.

What data we collect

The free preview questionnaire

If you request a free website preview, we collect the answers you give us: your type of business, your current website situation, your goals and feature choices, your preferred style, your business name and town, any existing website or social page link, and your contact details (name, phone number, email address and the best time to call).

The contact form

If you send us a message, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address and the message you write.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We use your information to build and send your free website preview, to respond to your enquiries, and to provide our services to you if you become a customer. Where you tick our consent box, our legal basis is your consent. Where you become a customer, our legal basis is the performance of our contract with you. We do not use your information for automated decision making, profiling, or any purpose beyond the ones described here.

How long we keep it

If you request a preview or contact us but we do not end up working together, we keep your details for up to 24 months after our last conversation, so we can pick up where we left off if you get back in touch. If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as we provide services to you, and afterwards only as long as we need to for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising. We use service providers to run this website: the platform that hosts the site and its database processes your form answers on our behalf, and an email delivery service sends us the notification that a new enquiry has arrived. These providers process your data only to deliver their service to us. We never share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Ask us to restrict or stop processing your data.
• Object to our processing, including where it is based on consent.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdraw it.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies: the small technical files the platform needs to keep the site working securely, such as a session cookie when you sign in as an administrator. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not profile visitors. Because no non-essential cookies are used, there is no cookie banner to accept or reject.

Security and storage

Your form answers are stored by our website platform in an access-controlled database, and only the site owner can view them. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) whenever data travels between your browser and this website.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the website uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. This policy applies to domain-attraction.co.uk only.
